Madame Yevonde's work is not entirely unknown in the States, although at the time of writing (April 2001), there has been no solo exhibition of her work so far. Apart from the exhibition 'Photography 1839-1937' at the New York Museum of Modern Art in 1937, a number of the Goddesses images featured in the exhibition 'A History of Women Photographers' which toured New York, Washington, Santa Barbara and Akron, Ohio in 1997. Some of the same images also featured in the exhibition 'Rrose is a Rrose is a Rrose' at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where they were hailed by one reviewer as 'one of the major surprises of the exhibition'.

There are three exhibitions of Madame Yevonde's work scheduled to take place in the second half of 2001, two of them in the States. The first of these will take place at the Jan Kesner Gallery in Los Angeles, as part of the LA International, from 20th July to the end of August. This will be the first solo exhibition of Madame Yevonde's work in the States and as such, is something of a landmark. The second will take place at the Benham Studio Gallery in Seattle, from the 17th September to the 27th October. Madame Yevonde's work will be sharing the space with work by Milton H. Greene, the Hollywood photographer perhaps best known for his early work with Marilyn Monroe and his fashion photography. The third exhibition will be in Paris, at the Galerie Agathe Gaillard, in November and December. The exact dates will be announced later. During the course of a recent visit to the States by the Yevonde Portrait Archive to introduce the work of Madame Yevonde to some of the leading museums and galleries, the degree of interest expressed was such that there is every confidence that a major tour of the States can be arranged.
